Autism

Everything You Know About Autism Is Wrong

A short Ted Talk (13 minutes) given by autistic researcher Jac den Houting that breaks down a lot of misunderstandings about autism and autistic communication. This video serves as a great starting point to show people when trying to open communication between neurotypes. We recommend this video for anyone looking to understand autism better, whether the viewer is an ally, questioning themselves, or any other reason.

Aspie Tests

This site hosts a number of autism related questionnaires that can be taken for free. The Ritvo Autism Asperger Diagnostic Scale-Revised (RAADS-R) is often used by clinicians to evaluate autistic traits in adults, normally with the clinician guiding the testing. If you are wondering if you are autistic, this site is a good resource for personal insight. Unfortunately, it is incredibly hard to get an official diagnosis in adulthood. Self-identification is valid - you know your brain better than anyone else.

Spectrum News

This site provides fairly comprehensive coverage on all news related to autism research. Adopted a mixture of person-first and identity-first terminology and referring to autism as a condition rather than a disorder to be more inclusive after receiving feedback from the actually autistic community.

Neuroclastic

A site made for autistic people by autistic people. The focus on content here is more about social justice, culture, and lifestyle related topics. The site hosts a wealth of great content, including a directory of diagnosticians that diagnose autism.

The Aspie World

A YouTube series by Dan Jones that covers a variety of autism related topics, often hosting guests that are also neurodiverse. The 'Do I Have Autism?' playlist is a good starting point for anyone that is wondering whether or not they are autistic.

ADHD

How To ADHD

A great video series created by actress and ADHD activist Jessica McCabe. The content is primarily short, ADHD friendly videos with a focus on ways to improve your life by adapting to ADHD traits while highlighting ADHD strengths. The videos 'What is ADHD?', and 'How to (Explain) ADHD' are both great starting points.
